Abstract:

Microelectronics is one of the greatest inventions in the 20th century. Today, to obtain micro/nano devices with new function and higher value, new materials should be employed combining with traditional microelectronic technologies. In this talk, research on several kinds of new micro/nano electronic devices mainly based on new dielectrics, carbon/graphene, magnetic, and flexible materials will be introduced.

About the Speaker
Tian-Ling Ren is professor of the Institute of Microelectronics, Tsinghua University, China. Currently, he is a visiting professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University. He has served as Chair of IEEE Electron Device Society Beijing Chapter, and Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Electron Device Society. His research area is new material-based micro/nano devices and systems, including MEMS/NEMS, memories, power devices and flexible electronics. He has published more than 200 journal and conference papers and holds 40 patents.
