Abstract:

The first part of the talk will describe the engineering of fluorophore ligases for site-specific protein labeling in cells and protein-protein interaction detection. The second part will describe the application of these reporter technologies to study the trans-synaptic neurexin-neuroligin interaction and its role in promoting synapse maturation.
