Registration is now open for the 2009 User Meeting conducted jointly by the Molecular Foundry and the Advanced Light Source, held October 15 and 16, 2009 at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. SunPrint Scores Funding for Novel Printing Technique

SunprintSolar cell start‐up company SunPrint has secured funding from a top‐tier venture capital firm based on technology developed in the Foundry’s Inorganic Facility. Foundry users Tom Hunt, Mark Topinka and Chris Rivest developed a novel printing technique to produce photovoltaic thin film modules for solar energy. The promising efficiency of these thin film solar cells will be further explored through a follow‐on User project slated for next year.
