2010 Already a Good Year for Inorganic Facility Director Delia Milliron
Inorganic Nanostructures Facility Director Delia Milliron is a recipient of the 2010 Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV) Innovators Award. She will receive $50,000 in unrestricted funding for a one-year pilot project. Established in 2008 by MDV, an early stage venture capital firm investing in business, technology and medicine, the MDV Innovator’s Award recognizes early career scientists for their groundbreaking efforts, and provides a launching pad for promising research that might not readily receive funding from conventional sources. Learn more.
Delia is also the recipient of the 2010 Early Career Research Program award for her work on “Inorganic Nanocomposite Electrodes for Electrochemical Energy Storage and Energy Conservation." Delia was selected from a pool of 1,750 university and national laboratory-based applicants, and is one of three Berkeley Labs scientists to win this award.
An 'Outstanding Performance' from Facility Director Ron Zuckermann
Biological Nanostructures Facility Director Ron Zuckermann has received Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s 2009 Outstanding Performance Award for his contributions to the Materials Sciences Division. Watch Ron discuss his research on peptoids and his other interests in a recent interview.
A New Honor for Svec
