Berkeley Lab Highlights Molecular Foundry Intern in Lab Video Series

Daniel Durham recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied Materials Science and Engineering. During Summer 2017, Daniel participated in the Berkeley Lab Undergraduate Research (BLUR) program, under the supervision of Frank Olgetree and Edward Barnard at the Molecular Foundry. During his internship, he worked on a new imaging technique called "hyperspectral scanning electron imaging" that can aid researchers in identification of invisible defects or features of nanomaterials by scanning an electron beam over the material while simultaneously collecting other pertinent information. Foundry intern Daniel Durham talks about his experience working at Berkeley Lab this summer in this short video.
