Following the merge of the Molecular Foundry and the National Center for Electron Microscopy (NCEM) at the start of FY 2015, a new logo has been created to represent the newly integrated center. The logo, as well as the design package that accompanies it, was developed professionally and guided by input from staff and users throughout the Foundry.
Signifying a sense of place that integrates seven distinct scientific facilities, the new logo features a clean and modern look inspired by the Foundry’s architecture. These qualities are reinforced by the use of colors that represent the local environment: Bay Blue, Navy, Golden Gate, Sun and Fog.
