Nano Hydrophobics uses the Foundry to investigate nano-scopic coatings, which can prevent natural-occuring fouling on heat transfer surfaces. They have developed a nearly 200-nanometer thin, nano-composite polymer coating that provides surfaces with extremely low surface energy.
