On February 5-6, Molecular Foundry staff gathered at the Chabot Space and Science Center for a two-day retreat. The meeting aimed to assess the current state of the Foundry and identify future priorities and initiatives, both scientifically and organizationally.
Over the course of the two days, staff were updated on new research programs; discussed the Foundry’s strengths and gaps; and brainstormed how new upcoming research topics could be integrated into one of the Foundry’s four primary research themes.
The staff also participated in a Peer Mentoring workshop run by the Foundry’s Career Development Committee, and had some time to explore the science center, try their hand at archery, or go for a run or hike in the nearby hills.
