Foundry staff scientists Emory Chan and Bruce Cohen were recently awarded a Berkeley Lab Director’s Award for Scientific Achievement. Their award recognized the discovery and development of Avalanching Nanoparticles, a new material with remarkable properties and far-ranging applications from nanoscale imaging to information science.
