Joining Berkeley Lab’s Strategic Communications office and other user facilities, the Foundry held a tour for journalists and attendees of the 10th World Conference of Science Journalists, an international gathering held every two years.
This year the meeting took place in San Francisco and was the first time WCSJ was held in the United States. Nearly 1,400 professionals engaged in science journalism from around the country, and the world, attended the conference.
The tour provided an opportunity for journalists to explore cutting-edge science as well as crucial issues at the interface of science and society. Attendees came from numerous countries including China, Mexico, Germany, France, Greece, Cyprus, Norway, Japan, India, South Korea, and Israel, among others.
