On January 18-19, Molecular Foundry staff gathered at the Oakland Zoo for a two-day retreat. The meeting aimed to assess the current state of the Foundry and identify future priorities and initiatives, both scientifically and organizationally.
Over the course of the two days, staff were updated on new research programs; discussed the divisional committees’ activities for the coming year; brainstormed “Big Ideas” for future investment; and established new equipment priorities.
The staff also participated in a workshop on Diversity & Inclusion, highlighting implicit bias and how to combat it, run by Acuity Works.
