Biography:
Dr. Ricardo Ruiz obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Vanderbilt University in 2003, and following two postdoctoral positions at Cornell and IBM, joined Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. Dr. Ruiz is currently a research technologist for Western Digital Corporation. His research specialties include block copolymer lithography, nanoparticle and colloidal science, self-assembly, nanofabrication, alternative lithography, soft matter physics, polymer physics, pattern formation, magnetic recording media, organic electronics, thin film growth, and structural properties of matter.
