Expertise
Liana is responsible for managing some of the organic facility laboratories, including instruments and trainings for the nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR), solvent purification system, and Biotage purification system. In addition to mentoring students and supporting users and staff of the organic facility, her current research is focused on the synthesis, characterization, and testing of novel materials geared towards the study of organic field effect transistors and organic photovoltaic devices. Liana has a background in several areas of organic synthesis including drug discovery, combinatorial chemistry, peptide and DNA chemistry.
