Looking to visit the Foundry from home?
Guided tour: Virtual Public Tours are currently offered once a month, covering the Molecular Foundry, Advanced Light Source, and National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC).
Self-guided tour: You can explore the Foundry’s facilities from your computer or with a VR headset (like Google Cardboard) using the 3D walkthroughs below. The scans were created using Matterport equipment and software courtesy of Berkeley Lab’s Accelerator Survey and Alignment Group.
To view the scans from your computer or tablet in 2D, just click on them below and use your mouse or touchpad to navigate. To access the VR experience with a VR viewer, you will need to download the Matterport VR app onto your phone. In your phone’s browser, navigate to this page and open one of the scans below. Click on the goggle image in the lower right-hand corner of the scan, and follow the instructions to view the space in VR. You can also explore the Foundry using Street View on Google Maps.
