It could be said that a lot of the research that is done at the Molecular Foundry is fueled by coffee, and for connoisseurs, you can’t do much better on the hill than the second floor’s coffee club run by Nanofabrication Facility Director Stefano Cabrini.
On February 16, Carlo Di Ruocco, the Founder and CEO of the coffee maker company, Mr. Espresso, visited the Foundry’s coffee club to discuss the art of brewing the perfect cup of espresso. During this time, he described his story as an immigrant in the U.S. and entrepreneur in the Bay Area. Efforts are currently being made to organize a seminar when Di Ruocco can share what he has learned about the science of coffee.
