Location: Chemla Room (67-3111)
Biography:
Dr. Sandra J. Rosenthal is the Jack and Pamela Egan Professor of Chemistry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy, Pharmacology, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and Materials Science at Vanderbilt University. The Rosenthal group studies the synthesis, structure, and optical spectroscopies of semiconductor nanostructures. Applications they have explored for their materials include lighting and display technologies. She are particularly interested in applying nanocrystals in neuroscience to elucidate molecular mechanisms of mental disorders.
