Adapted from this DOE press release
A institution team that includes researchers from the Foundry was recently awarded $8 million from the Department of Energy to develop novel materials with a goal of producing next generation semiconductors with sub-nanometer dimensions in a project titled “Angstrom Era Semiconductor Patterning Material Development Accelerator”. The Berkeley Lab team, led by the Foundry’s Michael Connolly, includes Ricardo Ruiz, Cheng Wang (ALS), and Oleg Kostko (MSD), and will focus on using combinatorial peptoid libraries to develop and characterize novel metal oxide photoresist materials for E-UV lithography.
