
Foundry senior staff scientist Brett Helms was recently awarded the “Henry H. Storch Award in Energy Chemistry” by the American Chemical Society. The award is given annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to fundamental or engineering energy-related research and development and education that address the world’s energy and chemical challenges. He will receive the award at the 2026 ACS Spring Meeting.
Helms specializes in designing organic and polymeric materials, developing battery electrode and electrolyte systems, and engineering mesostructured materials with controlled properties for energy and advanced manufacturing applications.
